This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead intricate control system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.
• Enhance and broaden technical expertise through training, publications, and involvement in industry activities.
• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.
• Aid business development by crafting technical proposals and delivering presentations.
• Work in conjunction with project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-effective project delivery.
• Mentor engineers and provide expert advice across technical, financial, and operational areas.
• Propel company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.
• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.
• Deliver responsive solutions to problems.
• Execute and oversee project tasks according to schedule and budget.
• Lead complete project lifecycles when assigned.
• Act as the primary contact for customers regarding assigned projects.
• Recognize scope changes and identify new business opportunities.
• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.
• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.
• Promote a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as needed.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of total experience.
• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Capability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.
• A robust mindset focused on innovation and process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor engineers.
• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development.
• Active involvement in industry organizations.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be required.
• Availability for on-call rotation as necessary.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be fit for duty at all times.
