This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the design of intricate control systems, which includes I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.
• Continuously enhance and broaden technical knowledge through training, publications, and active involvement in the industry.
• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.
• Assist in business development efforts through the preparation of technical proposals and presentations.
• Work alongside project managers to ensure project delivery is timely, precise, and cost-effective.
• Mentor engineers, providing expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.
• Promote company design standards and quality by implementing the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.
• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.
• Deliver responsive problem-solving assistance.
• Manage and oversee project tasks to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Take charge of complete project lifecycles when designated.
• Act as the primary contact for clients on assigned projects.
• Recognize scope changes and new opportunities for business development.
• Effectively delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability within the team.
• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project-related risks.
• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as needed.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of total work experience.
• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent role).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.
• Strong focus on innovation and process improvement.
• Demonstrated capacity to motivate and mentor engineers.
• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development.
• Active involvement in industry organizations.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.
• Participation in an on-call rotation as required.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Must be fit for duty at all times.
