This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete customer contracting process, from initial drafting and revisions to execution and post-contract adherence.
• Work in collaboration with Legal and M&A teams to incorporate new divisions and streamline contracting procedures.
• Draft and negotiate intricate commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, data privacy addenda, NDAs, and licensing contracts.
• Act as a principal contact between Legal, Finance, and internal division leaders.
• Serve as the main escalation point for contract-related issues and offer recommendations for resolution and risk management.
• Collaborate with sales support and internal teams to address contract-related challenges.
• Create and present training sessions to enhance contracting workflows.
• Develop and improve internal templates and contract playbooks.
• Maintain and utilize contract management systems to ensure data accuracy, reporting, and accessibility.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal team members or support staff.
• 7–10 years of experience in contract management or legal operations.
• Experience preferably within the technology or education sectors.
• Proven experience navigating the EdTech landscape, including contracting with state/district entities and Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of software licensing (SaaS/PaaS) and commercial contracting agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Capability to identify issues, foresee risks, and align business goals with legal considerations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in translating complex legal concepts into actionable business advice for non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced settings with rapidly changing priorities, especially during growth or integration/M&A.
• Genuine enthusiasm for education and commitment to Lemnis’s mission.
• Experience with contract management systems such as Salesforce, Atlassian JSM, or other CLM platforms.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or paralegal certification is a significant advantage.
