This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide autonomous coverage of Legal’s contracting queues during U.S. West Coast working hours.
• Triage incoming requests, offer practical guidance within the defined scope, identify the suitable Legal or cross-functional owner, and ensure efficient progression of matters.
• Negotiate commercial agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, Order Forms, and other similar standardized commercial contracts.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex agreements, non-standard positions, significant deviations, and issues requiring legal judgment.
• Assist during periods of heightened volume, particularly at the end of the month and quarter.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance intake, triage, issue identification, drafting, and negotiation workflows.
• Own and continuously refine contracting processes, templates, playbooks, fallback positions, approval paths, and associated documentation.
• Create self-service documentation and enablement materials for Sales and other stakeholders.
• Promote the adoption and enhancement of contracting processes across Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional teams.
• Enforce organizational contracting policies and protocols.
• Identify and execute appropriate AI applications for process documentation, knowledge management, and business self-service.
• Act as Legal’s main operational partner to the Outreach Business Systems team for CLM, contract repository, reporting, and other legal technology initiatives.
• Collaborate with tools such as Ironclad, Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Mindtickle, and other technologies utilized by the Legal team.
• Manage and drive multiple concurrent workstreams to successful completion, prioritizing and managing dependencies independently.
• Keep the Senior Director, Legal updated with concise reports on progress, dependencies, risks, necessary decisions, and opportunities to facilitate workflow.
• Provide reporting that translates contract-repository data into actionable business insights.
• Integrate AI into Legal systems and workflows to achieve measurable process enhancements.
• Report directly to the Senior Director, Legal.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Business Systems, Finance, Revenue Operations, Privacy, and other teams.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of pertinent commercial contracts or legal operations experience, ideally with significant in-house experience in SaaS or enterprise technology.
• Proven experience in independently negotiating standardized commercial agreements within established templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and escalation frameworks.
• Strong judgment in issue-spotting and escalation.
• Experience in managing high-volume contract intake or legal queues.
• Strong project management abilities across multiple simultaneous systems and process initiatives.
• Capability to link individual workstreams to broader business objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Experience creating practical, business-facing process documentation and enablement materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with organization, accuracy, perseverance, and professional judgment.
• Interest or experience in utilizing AI in contracting, legal operations, or business workflows.
• Familiarity with Ironclad, Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Mindtickle, or similar legal technology and business systems, including experience with CLM implementation, configuration, or optimization projects.
• Experience in enhancing contract-repository reporting and data analytics for business stakeholders.
• Background in SaaS commercial contracting, including knowledge of subscription models, data processing agreements, and AI-related contract terms.
• Relevant paralegal, contracting, project management, privacy, or legal operations training or certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
