This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead and assist in acquisition activities throughout the federal procurement lifecycle, encompassing pre-award, award, post-award, and closeout functions.
β’ Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, subcontracts, task orders, and modifications to contracts.
β’ Prepare and sustain acquisition documentation and contract files in compliance with relevant regulations and organizational practices.
β’ Ensure that contract actions adhere to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other relevant acquisition standards.
β’ Develop and enhance acquisition plans, solicitation packages, evaluation criteria, procurement documentation, and recommendations for award.
β’ Provide support for proposal evaluations, source selections, and the development of acquisition strategies.
β’ Analyze procurement requirements and offer recommendations that align with program objectives and regulatory guidelines.
β’ Assist in procurement management reviews, contract clearances, and activities related to acquisition planning.
β’ Conduct cost and price analyses, assess technical and audit reports, evaluate market conditions, and support decisions based on best-value acquisitions.
β’ Analyze labor rates, direct and indirect costs, economic factors, pricing trends, and other financial data relevant to procurement actions.
β’ Formulate recommendations regarding pricing strategies, negotiation positions, and approaches to acquisition.
β’ Aid in negotiations concerning contract terms, pricing, claims, protests, delivery schedules, and modifications to contracts.
β’ Interpret contract requirements and provide guidance to stakeholders on contractual obligations, compliance needs, risks, and strategies for mitigation.
β’ Keep up-to-date with statutory, regulatory, and policy changes that impact federal contracting.
β’ Review contractor performance, deliverables, schedules, and financial targets to ensure that contractual requirements are met.
β’ Assist in performance assessments and periodic reviews of contractor execution and contract outcomes.
β’ Identify performance risks and propose corrective actions.
β’ Monitor contract performance metrics and assist in reporting activities related to contractual and financial goals.
β’ Act as a primary contact for contractual matters involving government customers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
β’ Collaborate with program management, finance, legal, and executive leadership to ensure alignment of contractual actions with business and program goals.
β’ Support contractor and subcontractor management throughout the contract lifecycle.
β’ Provide expert consultation in contracting, acquisition recommendations, and business analysis to project leadership and stakeholders.
β’ Develop reports, assessments, and recommendations to support contractual, financial, and operational objectives.
β’ Engage with senior government officials, contractor leadership, and program stakeholders regarding acquisition strategies, contract execution, and program performance.
β’ Aid in project reviews and propose improvements to acquisition outcomes, contract performance, and overall program effectiveness.
β’ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Contract Management, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Acquisition Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of ten (10) years of recent experience in federal contracting, particularly in acquisition and contract administration activities.
β’ Proven experience supporting all phases of the federal acquisition lifecycle, including both pre-award and post-award activities.
β’ Familiarity with multiple contract types, such as Fixed Price (FFP), Cost-Reimbursement, and Time & Materials (T&M) contracts.
β’ Current or recent experience as a Contract Specialist.
β’ Experience must be directly related to federal contracting activities.
β’ FAC-C Level II certification or equivalent DAWIA Contracting Certification.
β’ In-depth understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement practices.
β’ Strong knowledge of contract administration, acquisition planning, solicitation development, source selection support, and procurement compliance.
β’ Knowledge of contracting procedures, contract types, pricing methodologies, incentive structures, and procurement strategies.
β’ Experience in evaluating contract language, identifying contractual risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.
β’ Strong analytical skills, including cost and price analysis, risk assessment, procurement strategy evaluation, and business analysis.
β’ Capability to independently manage multiple acquisition actions and competing priorities.
β’ Excellent negotiation skills and experience in developing strategies for complex procurement actions.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey contractual concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
β’ Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
β’ High attention to detail and a commitment to quality, compliance, and audit readiness.
β’ Ability to exercise sound judgment and appropriately escalate contracting issues when necessary.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
β’ Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and acquisition management tools.
β’ Familiarity with financial and project management systems used in federal contracting environments.
β’ Consistent, full-time work expected Monday through Friday, eight hours per day.
