Senior Content Strategist, Copywriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Craft articulate and persuasive content regarding retirement planning, financial services, and investment topics for integrated campaigns, newsletters, articles, emails, websites, case studies, videos, fund commentaries, presentation decks, letters, and various other communications.

• Develop, refine, and proofread technical and service-oriented communications.

• Formulate content strategies while creating, editing, and proofreading materials that engage target audiences, simplify complex information, and support quantifiable business results.

• Oversee content reviews and ensure compliance with the company's standards for brand voice, style, quality, accuracy, consistency, and AP style guidelines.

• Manage project timelines and deliverables, coordinate efforts with internal teams and external agencies, and maintain proactive and clear communication with stakeholders.

• Collaborate across Marketing and the organization to produce communications that enhance client engagement, promote product and service adoption, ensure asset retention, and drive growth.

• Keep updated on company offerings, industry trends, audience requirements, and best practices in content creation.

• Proofread materials and assist in compliance review requests for the Marketing team.

• Revise and sustain company style guides, while coordinating the design process for formatted materials, templates, and related assets.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.

• Five to seven years of experience in developing content strategy, writing, editing, proofreading, and project management, preferably within retirement planning, financial services, or a related field.

• Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication abilities, with a keen editorial judgment and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proven capability to apply content best practices and data-driven insights to address audience needs and achieve business objectives.

• Strong strategic thinking, initiative, organization, project management, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in managing multiple priorities, working independently, collaborating effectively, and producing high-quality work under tight deadlines.

• Experience in leading content projects in the financial services sector is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF editing features, and AP style; knowledge of AI-enabled content creation and editing tools is a plus.

• Three diverse writing samples or a portfolio link showcasing a broad range of copywriting work.
