Senior Content Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create clear and detailed documentation for specific functional areas of Acumatica ERP in accordance with corporate style guidelines and team procedures.

• Update documentation and training materials to reflect software releases.

• Revise outdated content to meet current standards and best practices.

• Design and create training courses and skill assessments tailored for various learner personas.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to draft, restructure, summarize, edit, and review documentation and training materials while ensuring precision and consistency.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to pinpoint user scenarios and identify information gaps.

• Address learner issues concerning documentation and training content, providing solutions and recommendations.

• Review UI labels and messages to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Continuously enhance team standards, processes, and tools.

• Take on the rotating Doc Watcher role.

• Act as the initial point of contact for external communications for the team.

• Manage incoming product-change requests that require documentation.

• Maintain the team’s working environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in English, technical writing, communications, or computer science, or equivalent credentials (preferred).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, content development, or instructional design within the software industry (required).

• Experience with AI-assisted writing, editing, research, or productivity tools to facilitate technical content development, instructional design, or content analysis (required).

• Expertise in any of the industries that Acumatica focuses on (preferred).

• Previous teaching or training experience (preferred).

• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts in English clearly, logically, and concisely (required).

• Advanced proficiency with tools used for content creation, version control, and project/task management (required).

• Knowledge of Acumatica ERP (preferred).

• Self-driven to produce high-quality content even when specifications are incomplete or unavailable.

• Ability to communicate positively and build effective working relationships with Acumatica team members.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.

• Familiarity with task and bug tracking tools like Jira.

• Familiarity with database management tools such as SQL Management Studio.

• Familiarity with content development tools like Oxygen XML Editor, Snagit, and Lucidchart.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted content development and productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Claude Cowork, and MS Copilot.
