This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform original research and reporting, and create authoritative studies, reports, and white papers.
• Compose thought leadership articles that position Berry Law as a national authority in Veterans Disability and Personal Injury law.
• Create editorial calendars that align with the firm’s priorities, legislative changes, and strategic goals.
• Track legal, legislative, and VA policy updates to pinpoint significant stories for Veterans.
• Write extensive website content, including practice area pages, guides, and educational materials.
• Produce executive thought leadership pieces, opinion articles, and media-ready content.
• Craft persuasive copy for breaking news and emerging media opportunities.
• Provide timely website news updates and commentary.
• Develop content plans for podcasts, including episode outlines and interview preparation materials.
• Write video scripts, storyboards, and production briefs.
• Collaborate with the Producer to create engaging multimedia storytelling.
• Formulate messaging for social media, email, public relations, and executive communications.
• Review and edit content for accuracy, editorial quality, and brand consistency.
• Act as the firm’s final editorial resource for complex content.
• Partner with attorneys to ensure legal accuracy and compliance with advertising regulations.
• Ensure that published content reflects Berry Law’s brand and ethical standards.
• Simplify complex legal concepts for general audiences while safeguarding the firm’s reputation.
• Ph.D. in Journalism from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, evidenced by a portfolio of published work.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly to both professional and consumer audiences.
• Excellent research, organization, and editorial judgment.
• Capability to translate complex legal concepts into engaging, reader-friendly content.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Preferred: Experience in covering law, government, public policy, or military matters.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Veterans Disability, Personal Injury, or litigation.
• Preferred: Experience in developing thought leadership or educational material.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SEO, content strategy, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI-assisted research.
• Preferred: Experience working with Veteran or military communities.
• Preferred: Background in collaborating with marketing, media, or communications teams.
