Senior Consulting Engineer – Physical Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct client consultations by planning, designing, implementing, and supporting Physical Security Systems.

• Create and execute technical architecture and physical network designs; assess existing systems and suggest enhancements.

• Install, configure, and test video surveillance, access control, sensor, air quality control, and third-party integration systems.

• Diagnose, maintain, upgrade, and resolve intricate hardware/software issues.

• Support Account Managers during sales by informing customers about Physical Security technologies and identifying cross-selling opportunities.

• Aid in project management utilizing CDW methodology and lifecycle processes.

• Ensure stable performance of enterprise computer applications.

• Engage in IT projects that enhance and upgrade converged network solutions.

• Collaborate with customers' technical and business personnel, including project sponsors and stakeholders.

• Act as the technical point of contact for customer interactions.

• Develop and implement test plans for assigned components.

• Oversee time and expenses in accordance with Statement of Work expectations.

• Deliver high-quality content outputs using suitable templates.

• Confirm that solutions are executed as intended and achieve customer satisfaction and approval.

• Work alongside Professional Services Managers, Sellers, Project Managers, Partners, and customers on expectations and timelines.

• Facilitate or lead design workshops for intricate designs.

• Proactively formulate plans to mitigate potential issues.

• Educate customers on solutions throughout the duration of the project or service life.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support, OR 9+ years of experience in the same areas.

• Hands-on experience with Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or off-hours as required to meet client needs.

• Willingness to travel between 25%-50%.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of equipment.

• Keen attention to detail regarding inventory and logistics.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure/network environments, including some background in network engineering, network security practices, and the design, planning, and implementation of LANs and WANs.

• 2 years of consulting experience is a plus.

• Experience with Milestone Systems Engineering is a plus.

• Minimum of one year of experience in programming or analytical work is a plus.

• Axis Certified Professional Certification is a plus.

• Genetec Security Center Omnicast and Synergis Certificates are a plus.

• Milestone Certified Integration Technician Certificate is a plus.

• Experience with Meraki MV is a plus.

• Experience with Verkada is a plus.

• Experience in Video Surveillance System Implementation is a plus.

• Experience in Access Control System Implementation is a plus.

• Experience in Environmental Sensor Implementation is a plus.

• Experience in IoT Device Implementation is a plus.
