Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the assessment, investigation, and coordination of security incidents.

• Support incident response processes, including documentation, evidence collection, tracking, and post-incident evaluations.

• Monitor and prioritize escalated security alerts from various security platforms.

• Aid in the development of operational dashboards and automation of reporting.

• Support the vulnerability management lifecycle from identification to remediation validation.

• Review vulnerability scan outcomes and collaborate with infrastructure, application, product, and asset owners to drive remediation efforts.

• Monitor remediation progress in relation to established SLAs and risk priorities.

• Assist in creating vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive reports.

• Coordinate exception reviews and follow-up activities for remediation.

• Support strategic cybersecurity initiatives and remediation programs.

• Track action items, risks, milestones, dependencies, and project deliverables.

• Assist with the implementation of security tools, process enhancements, and operational maturity initiatives.

• Maintain program documentation, procedures, and reporting.

• Aid in audit preparation, evidence collection, and control validation activities.

• Assist with policy maintenance, risk assessments, and security review processes.

• Maintain security metrics, dashboards, and management reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Security, Infrastructure, Systems Administration, IT Operations, or a related technical field.

• Strong understanding of IT, including Windows, Active Directory / Entra ID, Networking & Firewall fundamentals.

• Comprehensive knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, endpoint security tools, and patch management processes.

• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and project coordination capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Microsoft O365, and SIEM platforms.

• Preferred: Familiarity with GRC and compliance programs.

• Preferred: Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, or similar certifications.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting security projects and remediation programs.
