Senior Consulting Data Engineer – Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver value to the organization by executing solutions designed to meet customer satisfaction and approval.

• Comprehend client environments, recognize their needs, and effectively communicate tailored solutions.

• Design, ingest, transform, validate, and document analytics data solutions, including medallion-style data marts.

• Manage time and expenses in accordance with Statement of Work expectations and escalate potential budget concerns.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide analytics data for reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and informed business decision-making.

• Create and maintain data ingestion and transformation workflows utilizing Snowflake, SQL, DBT, and cloud data technologies.

• Oversee data pipelines and automated jobs to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of data.

• Validate and test data transformations for accuracy.

• Ensure that data processes are efficient, repeatable, well-documented, and comply with governance and privacy standards.

• Operate independently across various customer projects while keeping management updated on project progress.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and offer solutions for complex technological challenges.

• Identify and relay cross-selling prospects to the sales team.

• Establish and promote team best practices.

• Conduct solution quality assurance to verify project deliverables, scope, and compliance with the Statement of Work.

• Provide implementation and migration planning, coordinate vendor installations, and adhere to client timelines.

• Facilitate effective communication among product team members.

• Transfer technical skills and knowledge to clients through detailed work logs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of professional experience with relational data models, databases, data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and analytics delivery, or over 9 years of professional experience in these domains.

• Extensive experience with Snowflake, DBT, AWS, and SQL.

• Proficiency in data transformation, cleansing, preparation, and performance-oriented development.

• Experience in developing datasets for ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and insights for marketing or business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with working in highly regulated industries, ensuring compliance with governance, data privacy, and data quality standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

• Proven attention to detail and analytical skills for risk identification.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities, adapt to evolving business needs, and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated experience in applying lessons learned to resolve unique challenges.

• History of acquiring new skills in emerging technologies and understanding their distinctions from previous technologies.

• Willingness and ability to travel as required to other CDW locations or client sites.

• Preferred experience with healthcare and marketing data.

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, software engineering, data engineering, or a related field is preferred.
