This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Independently develop financing and grant-funding strategies for technology and infrastructure initiatives.
• Facilitate innovative and sustainable business models along with complex funding programs from their inception to implementation.
• Create and validate comprehensive financial models, including CAPEX/OPEX, cash flow assessments, KPIs, and scenario evaluations.
• Assess business models at early Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), considering technological, economic, and regulatory aspects.
• Oversee and analyze market, competitive, and technological research.
• Identify, evaluate, and structure intricate infrastructure funding programs.
• Develop and manage funding proposals and application documentation.
• Serve as a liaison for project sponsors, ministries, and regional funding entities.
• Prepare eligible cost frameworks.
• Design and execute customized financing solutions.
• Conduct and enhance bankability analyses.
• Independently oversee financing and grant-funding processes until successful completion.
• Prepare for and assist in discussions with banks, funding agencies, venture debt providers, and impact investors.
• Create decision papers, presentations, and information memoranda for upper management and external stakeholders.
• A minimum of 2–4 years of pertinent professional experience in investment banking, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure consulting, or complex grant-funding management.
• A completed degree in business, industrial engineering, sustainability management, or a related field.
• Strong numerical skills and a thorough understanding of complex project structures.
• Significant hands-on experience in financial modeling using Excel.
• Confident in stakeholder management with banks, ministries, public authorities, and investors.
• Capability to manage projects autonomously.
• Organized working style and a high degree of self-motivation.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Interest in specialized subjects related to energy and climate transition.
• Proficient in German, including strong negotiation skills.
• Very good command of the English language.
