Senior Consultant – Strategy and Transformation, Energy, Utilities and Chemicals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Engage with the mechanisms of retail electricity and gas markets, focusing on contracts, customer segmentation, pricing, tariff structures, taxes, and transmission and distribution costs.

• Analyze the mechanisms of wholesale electricity and gas markets and network services, including price formation, contract management, adjustments, balancing, and demand response.

• Explore emerging energy vectors such as hydrogen, biogas, and carbon capture and utilization.

• Cultivate client relationships and implement related information systems.

• Oversee Meter-to-Cash processes in electricity and/or gas retail operations.

• Manage Front-to-Back processes and the corresponding information systems in energy and commodities trading environments.

• Lead a team of junior consultants.

• Assist in the creation of commercial proposals.

• Ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree from an engineering or business school.

• Over two years of experience in managing and optimizing operational processes within the Energy and commodities value chain.

• Experience gained in a consulting firm or with a market participant.

• Specific experience in structuring the French electricity and gas markets.

• Knowledge of regulations related to green energy or energy efficiency standards.

• Proficiency in English.

• Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts and train others.

• Willingness to travel and flexibility in geographical mobility.
