This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Assist in strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Perform supply chain evaluations through interviews with executives and frontline leaders, as well as job observations.
• Create spend cubes and performance analytics utilizing Power BI.
• Oversee organizational sourcing and procurement maturity evaluations.
• Develop comprehensive category sourcing strategies in collaboration with clients.
• Independently facilitate ideation workshops.
• Prepare assessment reports and present insights and strategies to executive leaders.
• Drive the execution of three to four category strategies, including final negotiations and award recommendations.
• Manage the implementation of resultant supplier agreements.
• Assist in optimizing sourcing and procurement organizational structures, policies, processes, and management practices.
• Collaborate with extended teams and clients on operational and supply chain transformation initiatives.
• Lead multifaceted consulting value workstreams that encompass operational, financial, and process analysis, strategy formulation, process reengineering, and modeling.
• Address one client challenge at a time, primarily working independently to achieve operational and financial outcomes.
• Work onsite with clients and travel weekly.
• Willingness to travel 95% of the time, from Sunday to Thursday, for over 45 weeks each year, with no flexibility.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is essential, or alternatively, over ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in strategic sourcing, independently creating and executing category strategies, either in the industry or as a consultant.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders effectively.
• A self-motivated individual with a proven track record of driving results independently.
• Eagerness and ability to learn new skills quickly and frequently.
• Capability to conduct analytics that yield insights beyond just pivot charts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Quick adaptability to Power BI.
• Ability to link issues and opportunities back to clients' financials.
• Skillful in concise communication through professional writing.
• Capable of engaging with and presenting to all levels of the organization, including executive leaders on a weekly basis.
