
Senior Consultant β Life Sciences Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
β’ Collaborate with clients at all levels to provide solutions for product planning, pricing, reimbursement, product commercialization, and regulatory compliance.
β’ Oversee data management and ensure technical delivery for client projects.
β’ Mentor data engineers to effectively execute client engagements.
β’ Create and enhance predictive models for outcomes, efficacy proxies, and forecasting utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques.
β’ Perform advanced analytics on extensive datasets, including claims, affiliations, payer, sales, and various other sources.
β’ Develop internal tools and automate processes to expedite delivery schedules and enhance team productivity.
β’ Document workflows, create process maps, and train the team on applied methodologies.
β’ Recognize opportunities for improving outcomes.
β’ Present technical execution summaries and insight recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.
β’ Oversee, coach, and mentor junior staff and support their professional growth.
β’ Travel to Guidehouse and client locations throughout the US, up to 10% of the time.
β’ A BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Data Analytics/Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field, is required.
β’ A minimum of FOUR (4) years of relevant consulting or work experience with large global pharmaceutical, mid-sized pharmaceutical, and/or biotech clients.
β’ In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical sector, including drug development and market launch.
β’ Strong foundation in life science functions, encompassing commercial operations, market access, patient services, and medical roles.
β’ Capability to independently analyze complex data, ensure quality of results, and construct a structured, data-driven narrative.
β’ Exceptional communication skills for conveying technical execution summaries and insight recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
β’ Experience in Data Analytics on large healthcare datasets and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary datasets and analytics environments.
β’ High proficiency in SQL, Python (or equivalent scripting languages), cloud data platforms, and familiarity with life sciences data, which includes claims, EHR, sales data, formulary, and coverage data.
β’ Ability to function effectively within a matrixed organization.
β’ Must be a collaborative team player.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel to Guidehouse and client sites across the US, up to 10% of the time.
β’ Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
β’ An advanced degree/PhD is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Palantir.
β’ Working knowledge of AI/ML and its applications within the life sciences sector.
β’ Proven success in supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff, including taking ownership of their career development.
β’ Preference will be given to candidates located in the Washington, DC metro area.
