Senior Consultant – Government Technology Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as Project Manager for the assessment and implementation of permitting and land management systems.

• Collaborate with client and vendor teams across various departments.

• Lead BerryDunn's business analysts and subject matter experts.

• Oversee client service delivery in accordance with schedule, scope, and budget, which includes managing staff assignments and deliverables.

• Facilitate decision-making processes for clients and document governance results.

• Assist clients in planning and managing procurement activities, which encompasses scoping, RFP development, proposal evaluations, software demonstrations, reference checks, and contract scoping.

• Offer project oversight and quality assurance during system upgrades and implementations.

• Coordinate internal and client tasks following the project plan.

• Communicate the status of projects and delivery, and facilitate client meetings.

• Contribute to marketing and business development efforts through blog writing, conferences, industry group participation, meetings with prospective clients, RFP reviews, and proposal creation.

• Report to senior leaders within the Local Government Practice Group.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in local government permitting departments.

• Experience with the implementation of permitting and land management software systems, including Accela, Clariti, and Tyler Technologies.

• Consulting experience with public sector clients at either a national or regional consulting firm; relevant independent consulting background; or prior work with a software vendor or system integrator.

• Preferred: An advanced degree and current project management certification such as PMP or CAPM, or certification in organizational change management.

• Preferred: Experience in applying organizational change management methodologies, including Prosci.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% to client locations.
