Senior Consultant – Government Technology Modernization

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Act as Project Manager for the assessment and implementation of permitting and land management systems.

β€’ Collaborate with client and vendor teams across various departments.

β€’ Lead BerryDunn's business analysts and subject matter experts.

β€’ Oversee client service delivery in accordance with schedule, scope, and budget, which includes managing staff assignments and deliverables.

β€’ Facilitate decision-making processes for clients and document governance results.

β€’ Assist clients in planning and managing procurement activities, which encompasses scoping, RFP development, proposal evaluations, software demonstrations, reference checks, and contract scoping.

β€’ Offer project oversight and quality assurance during system upgrades and implementations.

β€’ Coordinate internal and client tasks following the project plan.

β€’ Communicate the status of projects and delivery, and facilitate client meetings.

β€’ Contribute to marketing and business development efforts through blog writing, conferences, industry group participation, meetings with prospective clients, RFP reviews, and proposal creation.

β€’ Report to senior leaders within the Local Government Practice Group.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

β€’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in local government permitting departments.

β€’ Experience with the implementation of permitting and land management software systems, including Accela, Clariti, and Tyler Technologies.

β€’ Consulting experience with public sector clients at either a national or regional consulting firm; relevant independent consulting background; or prior work with a software vendor or system integrator.

β€’ Preferred: An advanced degree and current project management certification such as PMP or CAPM, or certification in organizational change management.

β€’ Preferred: Experience in applying organizational change management methodologies, including Prosci.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 30% to client locations.
