Senior Consultant, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and implementation of intricate machine learning, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions.

• Set technical standards, reusable best practices, and solution-design methodologies.

• Provide technical guidance across multiple projects.

• Manage the comprehensive delivery of strategic initiatives from problem identification and analytical design to production execution and continuous improvement.

• Assess emerging technologies and pinpoint opportunities to enhance automation and analytical capabilities.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business leaders on technical solutions and cross-functional program execution.

• Present analytical insights, business implications, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Mentor and guide team members, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute technical expertise to recruitment efforts.

• Shape technical and strategic choices across teams and business functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience related to data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.

• Four to six years of experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or a related field.

• Proven experience leading complex analytics or machine learning projects through design, development, implementation, and delivery.

• Experience in providing technical mentorship, guiding colleagues, and fostering knowledge development within a team.

• Ability to translate intricate business challenges into analytical solutions and convey recommendations to a variety of stakeholders.

• Advanced expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling.

• High proficiency in Python and Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Familiarity with BigQuery and contemporary machine learning tools or ecosystems.

• Experience with cloud-based artificial intelligence and data platforms.

• Proven track record of developing scalable, production-quality machine learning solutions that meet quality and performance standards.
