Senior Consultant, Data Science – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, train, and implement production-grade predictive and prescriptive machine learning models.

• Design, fine-tune, and assess enterprise Generative AI systems, including RAG pipelines, custom LLM applications, and frameworks for prompt engineering.

• Create and deploy autonomous AI agents along with multi-agent workflows to tackle complex challenges faced by clients.

• Construct advanced analytics models to evaluate campaign performance, forecast customer behavior, and enhance long-term ROI.

• Convert machine learning metrics and algorithmic results into presentations and dashboards suitable for executives.

• Analyze raw client data and develop optimized analytics datasets within cloud-based environments.

• Facilitate external-client workshops to define objectives, map data landscapes, and translate business challenges into data science approaches.

• Produce documentation for solutions and designs pertaining to client data science architectures and ML pipelines.

• Operate both independently and collaboratively as part of large teams across various client projects.

• Provide cross-training for junior Data Scientists/Analysts while offering technical leadership and conducting code reviews.

• Continue enhancing AI/ML skills through practical experience and formal education.

• Assist in pre-sales activities by scoping client opportunities and estimating required work and effort.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-Secondary Degree (or Diploma) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related IT field.

• 5–8 years of cumulative experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Management Consulting.

• 3+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting or professional services role.

• 3+ years of experience in application, model design, and deployment within a cloud environment, preferably GCP.

• 1–2+ years of practical experience in architecting and deploying Generative AI systems and Agentic AI workflows.

• Proven ability to deliver both traditional predictive models and modern AI solutions to enterprise stakeholders.

• Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or equivalent Generative AI/Cloud Certifications are highly preferred.

• Familiarity with the Python stack: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Transformers.

• Experience with Generative and Agentic AI frameworks, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen/CrewAI, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, multi-agent orchestration, function calling, and tool integration.

• Knowledge of vector databases and search technologies, including BigQuery Vector Search, Google Cloud Vector Search, Pinecone, Chroma, or FAISS.

• Expertise in advanced SQL query optimization for large-scale data warehouses.

• Proficient with Google Cloud Platform, including Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI Agent Builder, BigQuery ML, and Model Garden.

• Experience utilizing BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage for data extraction, pipeline management, and indexing.

• Proficiency in Looker/Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.

• Understanding of MarTech/AdTech ecosystems, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD & MLOps/LLMOps.

• Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, adaptability, results-oriented mindset, resourcefulness, structured problem-solving abilities, prioritization skills, and capability to manage challenging client situations.

• Capacity to provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, oversee multiple projects, and communicate complex technical and mathematical concepts to non-technical audiences.
