This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Collaborate as a team member within the Conflicts group under the guidance of the Manager of Conflicts.
• Evaluate new business opportunities promptly to assess the acceptability of engagements.
• Manage clearances for a designated portfolio and assist with additional tasks outside the assigned queue to handle volume and urgent requests.
• Perform timely and precise reviews of potential conflicts and associated legal, relationship, and reputational risks.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of new engagement descriptions.
• Recognize and escalate emerging issues and concerns to Conflicts leadership and Company professionals.
• Implement company conflict policies and procedures when assessing, tracking, and maintaining records of potential issues.
• Convey conflict analysis summaries to internal teams and furnish information for client evaluation.
• Assist in resolving legal and business challenges.
• Conduct research utilizing internal and external databases and other resources.
• Identify pertinent corporate affiliations.
• Uphold confidentiality and non-disclosure regarding conflicts review information.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company’s expert and business consulting services as well as client engagements.
• Extensive knowledge of the legal sector and legal terminology.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to function effectively as a team player, learn swiftly, and adapt to new policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in conducting independent analysis.
• Experience in employing creativity and resourcefulness when faced with obstacles.
• Strong attention to detail along with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
• Willingness to provide occasional weekend support on a rotating on-call basis.
• Proficient in computer skills and quick to learn new systems and software.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience as an analyst in a conflicts or new business intake role within a law, auditing, financial, or consulting firm.
• Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
• Prior experience with IntApp, Salesforce, and Elite is preferred.
• Familiarity with public company SEC filings, corporate family tree information, and publicly accessible relationship data is preferred.
• Understanding of engagement letters, contractual agreements, waiver language, external support guidelines, and engagement terms and conditions is preferred.
• General knowledge of conflicts-of-interest principles, practices, and procedures, as well as the legal field, is preferred.
