This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Assess, test, and validate new network hardware, systems, and software.
• Design and implement robust leaf-spine network architectures for GPU, AI, and high-performance computing infrastructures.
• Create and manage IP fabrics utilizing BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and ECMP protocols.
• Provide support for GPU frontend, backend, storage, management, and out-of-band network connectivity solutions.
• Set up and maintain switches, routers, and data center interconnects.
• Deploy congestion management functionalities, including QoS, ECN, and Priority Flow Control as necessary.
• Integrate GPU data centers with Megaport transport, internet transit, cloud, and external connectivity services.
• Conduct proof-of-concept initiatives with integration partners.
• Develop next-generation network and system architectures.
• Establish network architecture standards, detailed designs, implementation strategies, and operational documentation.
• Maintain professional relationships with vendor engineering teams.
• Advance network automation and monitoring systems for capacity, latency, congestion, and availability management.
• Offer technical support to both internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate deployments and operations.
• Provide technical summaries to aid executive leadership in decision-making.
• Serve as the final escalation point for network operations, operations engineering, and network engineering teams.
• A strong enthusiasm for technology and its application in problem-solving.

• Extensive background in networking and telecommunications.
• Deep understanding of IP routing, QoS, MTU, resiliency, and network failure scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and leaf-spine architectures.
• Familiarity with large-scale data center networks.
• Experience with large-scale MPLS networks.
• Proficiency in writing scripts for task automation.
• Knowledge of high-speed Ethernet, optical transceivers, fiber cabling, and data center cross-connects.
• Strong initiative and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of diagnosing issues and identifying root causes.
• Desirable: Knowledge of programming languages such as Perl and Python.
• Desirable: Understanding and experience in an Agile work environment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with RoCEv2, RDMA, Priority Flow Control, and ECN.
• Bonus: Experience with Linux networking and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Bonus: Operational experience dealing with network datasets, primarily SNMP and sFlow outputs.
