Senior Compliance Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage Mercury's inaugural prudential regulatory compliance program for banking, starting with a focus on Regulations W and O, encompassing policies, procedures, governance frameworks, transactional controls, and ongoing monitoring efforts.

• Collaborate with and advise Mercury's senior management regarding the permissibility and advisability of proposed transactions.

• Partner with various stakeholders across Legal, Finance, People/HR, Credit, and other organizational functions.

• Ensure that business-critical transactions are executed in a safe and sound manner.

• Foster and enhance Mercury's compliance culture and awareness of prudential regulatory responsibilities through training and guidance for bank staff.

• Keep detailed records and documentation of prudential regulatory compliance activities and programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in developing and/or managing prudential compliance programs, including Regulations W and O.

• Strong comprehension of prudential regulations and regulatory expectations.

• Experience in presenting program outputs and decisions to senior executives, internal auditors, prudential regulators, and other stakeholders.

• High quality standards and a strong sense of ownership.

• A collaborative, problem-solving approach.

• Proficient stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to influence others without direct authority.

• Enthusiasm for leveraging technology, including artificial intelligence, to enhance capabilities and advance the field.

• Previous experience in quantitative disciplines such as finance, credit, and/or strategic operations is a plus.
