Senior Competitive Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Perform technical assessments of cloud and AI platforms.

• Set up infrastructure, deploy workloads, evaluate performance, and document replicable results.

• Create and oversee a benchmarking framework for AI inference workloads utilizing standardized tests, models, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Analyze competitor architectures, APIs, networking solutions, storage options, GPU availability, orchestration tools, and overall developer experience.

• Record actual product performance during the deployment process.

• Develop battle cards, technical comparison guides, and content for Sales and Presales based on validated data.

• Work in partnership with Product Management to evaluate cloud products and propose items for the roadmap.

• Review and verify differentiation claims in marketing materials, sales presentations, and analyst briefings.

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, engineers, and solution engineers to shape architecture and go-to-market strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of technical experience in cloud engineering, solutions architecture, DevOps, technical marketing, or presales within the enterprise technology sector.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, including instance provisioning, network configuration, container deployment, and independent troubleshooting of performance issues.

• Experience in managing AI/ML inference workflows and deploying model endpoints.

• Ability to assess performance metrics and comprehend cost structures.

• Capability to design reproducible tests, control variables, and implement benchmarking methodologies.

• Skill in creating technical documentation that is comprehensible to engineers and actionable for stakeholders.

• Competence in presenting findings to varied professional audiences.

• Proven integrity and transparency in reporting findings.
