Senior Compensation Specialist

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee the daily management of global compensation programs, policies, and practices across various regions, including the U.S. and India.

β€’ Take ownership of the organization’s job architecture within Kamsa, encompassing job families, sub-families, career levels, job profiles, titles, and compensation ranges.

β€’ Manage the monthly updates and verification of employee, job, and compensation data in Kamsa.

β€’ Sustain job mappings and market benchmarks across relevant geographies and labor markets.

β€’ Oversee two annual compensation cycles, including planning, eligibility determinations, guidelines, budgets, system administration, communications, audits, and reporting.

β€’ Administer compensation reviews for promotions, market adjustments, and off-cycle compensation changes.

β€’ Conduct market analyses, internal equity assessments, and market pricing for various positions.

β€’ Collaborate with local and global HR teams on regional compensation practices and employee requirements.

β€’ Work with HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent administration of compensation programs in accordance with local regulations.

β€’ Lead the development, review, and maintenance of job descriptions.

β€’ Execute complex compensation analyses that consider market competitiveness, internal equity, pay positioning, salary range penetration, compression, promotions, and workforce trends.

β€’ Create recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, dashboards, and presentations.

β€’ Assist with salary structure reviews, market movement analyses, geographic differential assessments, pay equity evaluations, and pay transparency initiatives.

β€’ Act as a compensation subject matter expert for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, managers, and stakeholders.

β€’ Offer compensation guidance for job offers, promotions, reorganizations, job changes, retention scenarios, and international workforce decisions.

β€’ Support organizational design and restructuring through job evaluations, leveling, and compensation expertise.

β€’ Develop compensation training, tools, documentation, and resources.

β€’ Assist or administer sales commission and incentive compensation programs as necessary.

β€’ Keep track of global compensation trends, emerging practices, and regulatory developments.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

β€’ At least 5 years of progressive compensation experience, including compensation analysis and the administration of compensation programs.

β€’ Experience in supporting compensation programs across various countries or geographic markets.

β€’ Familiarity with job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, job architecture, promotions, and market adjustments.

β€’ Experience in supporting or managing annual or semiannual compensation review cycles.

β€’ Advanced analytical skills with large and complex data sets.

β€’ High proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.

β€’ Strong understanding of compensation principles, methodologies, and global compensation practices.

β€’ Excellent project management and organizational skills.

β€’ Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

β€’ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

β€’ Ability to manage sensitive and confidential compensation information with discretion.

β€’ Capacity to work effectively across cultures, geographies, and time zones, collaborating with global HR professionals, managers, and senior leaders.

β€’ Preferred qualifications include experience with India compensation programs and market practices; familiarity with Kamsa, Pave, Salary.com, PayScale, or similar platforms; HRIS and compensation integrations; global compensation surveys; pay equity and pay transparency initiatives; and CCP certification or progress toward certification.
