This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the daily implementation of a well-established PR initiative.
• Create and disseminate press materials, coordinate announcements, and oversee an editorial calendar for news events.
• Pitch and secure placements for stories within the security, technology, and business media sectors.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with journalists, editors, analysts, and creators.
• Convert technical threat research and product news into clear and engaging narratives for external audiences.
• Aid in executive and spokesperson communications, including preparation of briefings, talking points, and opportunities for industry engagement.
• Monitor coverage, keep track of the media landscape, and report outcomes in relation to program objectives.
• Develop and expand an earned creator program by outlining the strategy, identifying key platforms, and establishing its foundation.
• Identify, assess, and foster authentic connections with creators and voices in security, technology, consumer markets, and related fields.
• Create briefs, story angles, and campaign opportunities for creators.
• Organize creator activities surrounding launches, research releases, and cultural moments in collaboration with social, content, and brand teams.
• Evaluate the impact of earned creators and refine the program as it evolves.
• Collaborate with content, social, brand, product marketing, and threat research teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Exercise sound judgment in response to news and issues that influence a security brand.
• 7–10 years of experience in communications, PR, or earned media, whether in-house, at an agency, or a combination of both.
• Proven success in securing media coverage and establishing authentic relationships with journalists and/or creators.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities, capable of making technical subjects accessible and engaging for a general audience.
• Understanding of the creator and influencer landscape.
• Ability to operate effectively in dual capacities: reliably executing within an established program while simultaneously building new initiatives from the ground up.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• A keen interest in cybersecurity, technology, privacy, or online culture.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or a similarly dynamic, technically complex industry is advantageous.
• Experience in launching or expanding earned creator or influencer programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with media monitoring, PR, and social measurement tools is beneficial.
