Senior Commercial Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct searches of public records and review titles to assess the legal status of primarily commercial or industrial property titles.

• Summarize or replicate recorded documents that impact property title.

• Analyze chains of title for commercial and industrial properties.

• Execute intricate title examinations that require a high degree of expertise in title matters.

• Abstract and evaluate leases, subleases, acreage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, as well as plot and map books.

• Ascertain ownership, legal restrictions, legal descriptions, and the completeness of records, including those for multi-site properties.

• Draft title products in accordance with procedural guidelines.

• Offer underwriting interpretation within established parameters.

• Engage with customers as necessary.

• Serve as a resource for less experienced team members.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial title examination.

• Experience in commercial title examination specific to Michigan.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Proficient problem-solving skills.

• Customer service-oriented approach.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with legal terminology used in title documents.

• Capable of reading and interpreting legal descriptions related to title orders.
