This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage commercial risks to secure profitable opportunities for the Power Conversion & Storage Data Center sector.
• Oversee contract negotiations and customer meetings until contract execution and signing.
• Negotiate terms regarding limitation of liability, indemnities, warranties, insurance, liquidated damages, and other commercial aspects.
• Formulate commercial proposals for low-, medium-, and highly complex RFQ/RFI/RFP opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, and Project teams.
• Ensure adherence to commercial risk policies and approval protocols.
• Conduct technical, profitability, cash flow, and commercial risk assessments.
• Develop and evaluate project cash flow models, cost escalation assumptions, foreign exchange exposure, pricing strategies, and profitability metrics.
• Implement competitive pricing strategies and commercial frameworks.
• Prepare, compile, and submit tender documents and commercial deliverables.
• Assist in market expansion, commercial excellence, and strategic Data Center initiatives with GE Vernova businesses and global teams.
• Cultivate specialized knowledge of market trends, commercial practices, customer contracting strategies, and competitive positioning.
• Contribute to the development of commercial strategy, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Address complex commercial, contractual, financial, and risk-related issues.
• Analyze data, evaluate risk, and formulate recommendations using both internal and external resources.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, productivity enhancements, and growth.
• Mentor junior team members and potentially lead small to medium-sized commercial projects.
• Convey sensitive concepts, foster stakeholder alignment, and influence decisions through commercial reasoning and negotiation.
• Collaborate with regional commercial and risk teams to simplify processes and improve productivity.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• 5–10 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales, Proposal Management, Contract Management, Project Finance, or a related commercial role supporting relevant energy, power, data center, grid, renewable energy, industrial automation, or electrical infrastructure markets.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading commercial proposals, reviewing customer specifications, developing contract strategies, negotiating commercial terms and conditions, and supporting equipment and/or service sales agreements, consortium agreements, EPC contracts, or long-term service agreements.
• Experience in evaluating commercial risks, pricing strategies, profitability, cash flow forecasts, and contractual obligations.
• Proven track record of working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Management teams.
• Strong grasp of commercial contract elements, including limitation of liability, indemnities, liquidated damages, warranties, insurance requirements, payment terms, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Ability to convey complex commercial concepts, influence stakeholders, and assist in negotiations.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, if applicable.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience in Data Center, Energy Storage, Energy Management Systems, Power Conversion, Grid Solutions, turbine, wind, industrial electrification, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar domestic and international projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial risk management processes, contract governance, and stage-gate approval frameworks is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial modeling, project cash flow development, foreign exchange analysis, cost escalation mechanisms, and profitability assessments is preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. energy policy requirements, including ITC eligibility, domestic content provisions, prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, and FEOC regulations is preferred.
• Understanding of U.S. and international trade regulations, tariffs, customs requirements, and supply chain compliance considerations is preferred.
