This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Evaluate approved Credit Memoranda and ascertain the necessary documentation for loan closure.
• Gather and assess documentation for accuracy and adherence to closing and funding stipulations.
• Request appraisals, environmental assessments, and credit evaluations.
• Create comprehensive credit and closing files in collaboration with Credit Associates, Relationship Managers, and external parties.
• Oversee pre-closing due diligence, which includes appraisals/vessel surveys, property surveys, environmental assessments, title searches, insurance verification, UCC searches, invoice validation, bills of sale, equity injection confirmation, and liquidity confirmation.
• Draft and/or review loan closing documents for precision and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with closing attorneys, referring brokers, and Loan Operations to ensure smooth closing and disbursement of loan funds.
• Support credit and compliance departments with loan portfolio servicing and the upkeep of lending files.
• Resolve loan exceptions, deficiencies, and findings from loan reviews.
• Track insurance policies, financial reports, and other mandatory reporting documents.
• Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines.
• Aid in resolving outstanding loan documents, post-closing tasks, and loan exceptions.
• Organize subsequent loan advances as per loan documentation and approvals.
• Over 5 years of direct loan closing experience in a high-volume setting.
• Strong capability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in responding to customer inquiries and juggling multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a recognized four-year college or university, or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant commercial loan closing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in closing Commercial Real Estate transactions (both owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied) is essential.
• Exceptional customer communication abilities.
• Capability to comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the Commercial Real Estate team, knowing when to involve senior management.
