Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Representative – Property Damage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage liability claims related to business owners directly.

• Oversee a portfolio of general liability property damage claims under business owner insurance policies.

• Assess coverage issues pertaining to the Business Owners Coverage Form, Excess and Umbrella Coverage Form, Garagekeepers, Hired/Non-owned Auto, Auto Services, and other standard industry documents.

• Review, investigate, and evaluate new loss notifications and claim submissions.

• Handle claims that are litigated and collaborate with defense counsel to develop strategies.

• Analyze and position claims in accordance with applicable coverage provisions.

• Work together to establish appropriate claims reserves.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in managing allocated loss adjustment expenses (ALAE) during the claims investigation process.

• Maintain documentation of claim files in line with established protocols.

• Prepare coverage correspondence.

• Assess claims and maintain regular communication with attorneys and other involved parties.

• BA/BS degree along with 5 years of prior experience in general liability claims adjusting preferred.

• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in general liability claims, may replace the need for a bachelor's degree.

• CPCU or other relevant industry certification is advantageous.

• Required state adjuster license(s).

• Experience managing litigated liability property damage or construction defect claims is necessary.

• Familiarity with standard industry liability forms.

• Must obtain and keep adjuster licenses as required.
