This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage business owner liability claims directly.
• Oversee a portfolio of litigated and complex general liability claims associated with business owner policies.
• Assess coverage issues based on the Businessowners coverage form and standard industry forms and endorsements.
• Investigate, analyze, and evaluate new loss notifications and claim submissions.
• Position claims promptly under the relevant coverage.
• Work collaboratively to establish appropriate reserves.
• Appropriately manage allocated loss adjustment expenses (ALAE) during claim investigations.
• Maintain claim documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
• Develop strategies for claims toward suitable resolutions while ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders.
• Prepare coverage correspondence.
• Assess claims and maintain regular communication with attorneys and other involved parties.
• A BA/BS degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in general liability claims adjusting is preferred.
• Experience in litigated liability bodily injury claims is essential for this position.
• Excellent analytical capabilities are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and the ability to convey clear and concise information.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to work independently and meet designated deadlines.
• Ability to respond swiftly to inquiries with a sense of urgency.
• Capability to collaborate and cooperate with team members.
• Proficiency in multitasking and managing interruptions effectively.
• Adherence to instructions and established procedures is necessary.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and internet applications.
• Highly detail-oriented.
• Ability to perform under pressure and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with standard industry liability forms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
