Senior Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic consultant on commercial contracts, product introductions, technology licensing, and legal matters related to AI-driven products and services.

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate commercial contracts, including agreements for software and technology licensing, SaaS, master services, data processing, customer, and vendor relations.

• Provide guidance on the development, implementation, and commercialization of AI and machine learning products and services.

• Counsel on AI governance, responsible AI practices, and the evolving landscape of AI regulation.

• Detect legal risks and suggest actionable strategies for mitigation.

• Offer advice on data privacy, intellectual property, and adherence to regulations.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Business teams on transactions, product launches, and related support.

• Keep abreast of developments in AI law and data protection, updating documentation as necessary.

• Leverage AI tools and legal technologies to enhance legal service delivery.

• Assist in other legal domains, including employment law, litigation strategy, and risk management.

• Engage with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Executive Management teams throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with an active Bar license.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial/transactional law and technology licensing.

• Expertise in advising on artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and data privacy matters.

• Strong skills in drafting and negotiating commercial and technology agreements.

• Capability to evaluate and convey legal risks pragmatically in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Skill in prioritizing and managing various assignments while adhering to deadlines.

• Process-oriented approach.
