This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Deliver technical support to sales teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct physical inspections and condition assessments.
• Supervise product application activities as required.
• Perform technical analysis of product specifications.
• Facilitate technical training sessions and presentations.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings for both customers and company representatives.
• Generate inspection reports utilizing digital reporting software.
• Assess sales proposals for technical precision and compliance with quality and performance benchmarks.
• Travel to job sites when assigned or dispatched for projects.
• Collaborate with applicators, distributors, contractors, engineers, and consultants to ensure correct product application and usage.
• Comprehend customer requirements and challenges, providing services that enhance coating solutions.
• Work in partnership with Sales, R&D, Customer Care, and other internal departments.
• Offer technical advisory support on Hempel products and systems.
• Communicate product and system features and benefits as a representative and ambassador for the brand.
• Ensure adherence to Product Data Sheets, guiding specifications, technical and industrial standards, procedures, and optimal painting/application practices.
• Gather and document data while preparing work progress reports, including testing, analysis, and interpretation.
• Provide on-site training for coatings applicators and Hempel Sales teams.
• Inform customers about coating solution performance and the value of Technical Services.
• Create and distribute precise company and customer reports using corporate reporting tools.
• Address project quality, paint consumption, budget, and scheduling concerns.
• Utilize PPE and technical equipment responsibly, ensuring that equipment is calibrated, maintained, and in good working order.
• Monitor and manage project paint inventory, providing timely updates to Sales teams.
• Engage in internal and external Technical Services strategy activities through surveys, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Coating Industry.
• Proficient in English (both oral and written) for business communication.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• General computer literacy skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%, both domestic and international) and adapt to flexible schedules.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in marine coatings is advantageous.
• NACE certification is a benefit.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
