Senior Cloud Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee cloud networks (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, peering) across GCP, Azure, and AWS.

• Establish and maintain secure connections between cloud environments, data centers, offices, and terminals using site-to-site VPN, Cloud Interconnect, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect.

• Manage cloud load balancers, DNS, NAT, and network gateways for production services.

• Configure and uphold firewalls, security groups, and network policies.

• Provide networking support for the Kubernetes platform, including ingress, network policies, and service-to-service traffic.

• Create and manage network infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot latency and connectivity challenges, and participate in an on-call rotation.

• Support zero-trust and secure remote access tools like Zscaler, Cloudflare, or Palo Alto Prisma.

• Document network designs and maintain diagrams and runbooks.

• Plan for capacity, high availability, and disaster recovery, while assisting in managing cloud networking expenses.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, security, and development teams in Canada.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2–3 years focused on cloud networking.

• Practical experience with networking on at least one major cloud platform (GCP, Azure, or AWS); experience with multiple platforms is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and load balancing.

• Experience in hybrid connectivity between on-premises sites and the cloud.

• Practical experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or cloud-native firewalls).

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities using tools such as Wireshark, traceroute, and cloud flow logs.

• Kubernetes networking experience (CNI, ingress controllers, service mesh) is a plus.

• SD-WAN experience (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, or similar) is a plus.

• Familiarity with zero-trust or SASE tools: Zscaler, Cloudflare, Netskope, or Prisma Access is a plus.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) are a plus.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or another 24/7 operations environment is a plus.
