Mid/Senior-level GoLang Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage comprehensive batch and incremental ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Transform raw data into production-ready APIs, dashboards, and automated notifications.

• Gather high-throughput data from relational databases, third-party and vendor APIs, flat files, blockchain nodes and indexers, as well as social and web text at scale.

• Create NLP pipelines for unstructured and semi-structured text, including tasks such as entity and claim extraction, classification, deduplication, and enrichment.

• Assist with case management, report generation, and data systems for intelligence portals.

• Collaborate with the Head of R&D, engineers, data scientists, and investigation teams to convert intelligence requirements into scalable client-facing products.

• Contribute to technical design and architecture through a documented and reasoned design process.

• Enhance data quality and system upkeep through versioning, validation, lineage, reconciliation, and freshness monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in developing backend services using Golang.

• Strong understanding of Go fundamentals, including concurrency and testing.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and/or gRPC.

• Experience working within AWS environments.

• Proficiency with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.

• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with Terraform is a plus.

• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.

• Knowledge of observability tools and practices is a plus.
