Senior Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop a cloud-native database platform utilizing public cloud infrastructure.

• Contribute to the in-house Kubernetes operator for efficient infrastructure management.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline and create systems that yield improved statistics and insights.

• Collaborate with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams on use cases and internal infrastructure enhancements.

• Design and construct robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure that facilitates ClickHouse as a serverless database solution.

• Propel continuous advancements in cloud infrastructure performance and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent software development experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Go, C++, or Java in a production environment.

• Familiarity with PagerDuty on-call procedures and debugging of production systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with infrastructure-as-a-service offerings like EC2.

• Experience in data storage, ingestion, and transformation using tools such as Spark or Kafka.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.

• Experience with Kubernetes-based infrastructure across cloud providers.

• Proven track record in building and maintaining near-real-time data or ML pipelines in a production setting.

• Capability to work in the current location with the necessary work authorization or sponsorship arrangements.
