
Senior Clinical Surveyor – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Contribute as a member of the healthcare survey team to ensure compliance with DNV guidelines, principles, and documented instructions.
• Conduct independent surveys of healthcare organizations across the United States.
• Evaluate and assess healthcare organizations’ adherence to relevant standards and ISO principles.
• Generate management reports related to standard nonconformities, potential system weaknesses, and organizational risk areas.
• Engage and communicate with staff from healthcare organizations regarding standards-based issues to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee and mentor other members of the survey team as needed.
• Participate in scheduled educational calls.
• Fulfill ongoing training and educational obligations.
• Engage in additional DNV activities as directed.
• For Physician Surveyor: possession of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and a current, valid state-issued medical license.
• For Nurse Surveyor: graduation from an accredited nursing program and a current, valid state-issued RN (BSN) license.
• A minimum of five years of experience in the healthcare sector or a related field such as risk or quality management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to create precise and timely reports.
• Adherence to ethical standards.
• Willingness and readiness to travel to client sites up to 100% of the time, with frequent overnight stays, travel outside regular working hours, and occasional weekends.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Comfort in public speaking and demonstration of critical thinking, interpersonal, problem-solving, interviewing, teamwork, organizational, analytical, and empathetic skills.
• Capability to communicate effectively, remain calm, and make informed decisions while evaluating practices and procedures against DNV accreditation or certification requirements.
• Approachable demeanor.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent and operate a vehicle, as well as use public transportation when necessary.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
• Capacity to work in environments with infectious diseases.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple priorities.
• Capability to walk and stand for extended periods, cover long distances, lift, climb, bend, push, and pull to inspect medical facilities, equipment, procedures, and areas sensitive to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., transport luggage and a computer during multi-day trips, and perform actions such as pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to navigate airports and fulfill other travel requirements.

• Preferred qualifications: experience with ISO 9001.
• Preferred qualifications: experience as an auditor and with standards.
• Preferred qualifications: previous involvement in VAD program management, joint replacement, cardiovascular care, diabetes management, palliative care, behavioral health, and/or neurology/stroke care.
