This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Define intricate statistical analyses and modeling for clinical and operational data.
• Conduct opportunity analyses, clinical trend assessments, operational KPIs, predictive modeling, program evaluations, customer reporting, product development, and ad-hoc analytics.
• Design and create statistical analyses and reports to uncover patterns and trends within operational and clinical data.
• Analyze extensive structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Implement research and evaluation standards, descriptive statistics, and data management principles.
• Present findings through verbal, written, and graphic communication, while recommending performance enhancements.
• Independently complete the analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions.
• Utilize dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts to formulate balanced scorecards, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices in the BI industry.
• Craft interactive and advanced Tableau visualizations for analytics storytelling.
• Navigate various business lines to extract holistic insights from large datasets.
• Interpret and formulate complex SQL queries for ad-hoc and ETL purposes.
• Provide mentorship and support to less experienced team members.
• Advanced knowledge of Epic data models and analytical software tools.
• Capable of working independently.
• Proficient in critical and analytical thinking.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills alongside effective follow-up abilities.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities.
• Strong comprehension of data warehousing concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, healthcare informatics, or mathematics-related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in data analytics, data science, data warehousing, data lakes and marts, metadata management, and dimensional modeling.
• Preferred experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, reporting tools, and clinical data.
• Preferred experience in supporting Epic Inpatient applications.
• Preferred certification in Tableau, Power BI, or relevant visualization tools.
• Proficient in SAS, R, Python, Java, Spark, Hadoop, Alteryx, and SQL.
• Preferred proficiency in Tableau, QlikView, and other data visualization tools.
• Certification in Epic Cogito Data Warehouse and Caboodle Data Model preferred; Epic certification must be maintained according to Epic Corporation standards.
• May need to uphold the security and integrity of UT San Antonio's infrastructure as per Texas EO-GA-48.
