This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations in the workplace to gather information, evaluate risks, and determine suitable outcomes.
• Utilize expertise in California employment law to effectively address and resolve intricate employee relations issues.
• Lead sensitive, complex, and high-stakes workplace investigations.
• Evaluate organizational risks and guide leaders towards appropriate resolutions.
• Provide coaching to leaders regarding employee relations decisions and the outcomes of investigations.
• Collaborate with Labor Relations, Legal, Global Security, and business leaders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners on complicated employee relations topics.
• Offer guidance to leaders on workplace investigations, performance issues, and ADA reasonable accommodation requests.
• Facilitate training sessions and educational programs on Employee Relations subjects, investigations, and workplace accommodations.
• Promote process enhancements, standardization, implementation of best practices, and improvement of Employee Relations tools and resources.
• Analyze case trends and manage case follow-up.
• Identify opportunities for strengthening Employee Relations practices, procedures, and overall organizational effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential for effective communication.
• Extensive knowledge of California employment law.
• Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Must reside within the Pacific time zone.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to field locations in California.
• Preferably over 5 years of experience leading workplace investigations.
• Experience in consulting with senior leaders and influencing decisions on complex, high-risk Employee Relations issues is preferred.
• Background in unionized manufacturing, distribution, or production settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with Employee Relations case management systems, such as HR Acuity or NAVEX EthicsPoint, is preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and fulfill commitments.
• Adaptability and capacity to lead through uncertainty and change.
• Strong judgment and the ability to influence decisions in complex workplace scenarios.
• Capability to lead cross-functional initiatives through project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
• Excellent organizational, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levels.
