This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Deliver daily support and services to designated Santander clients through telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Recognize opportunities to strengthen client relationships by recommending appropriate services and products.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide education on Santander’s offerings.
• Follow up on submitted documentation to guarantee accuracy and prompt processing by internal teams.
• Address customer requests such as account openings, balance inquiries, wire transfers, advances, payments, and loan paydowns.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues while facilitating the onboarding of new clients.
• Assist Relationship Managers by fielding calls, preparing packages, conducting data entry, tracking vendor invoices, and collecting information.
• Compile and distribute weekly ICC reports and packets; participate in weekly meetings and take minutes.
• Support Loan Officers and clients with transaction histories, canceled checks, statements, account transfers, payments, payoff letters, and related inquiries.
• Draft commitment letters and general correspondence.
• Maintain bankruptcy logs and prepare files for attorneys.
• Collect data and documents for Compliance examinations.
• Process payment invoices using Concur.
• Keep current evidence of insurance in credit files.
• Identify cross-selling and retention opportunities.
• Fulfill compliance-testing requirements related to government banking regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience demonstrated through a mix of work experience, training, military service, or education — Required.
• 3+ years of experience in customer service, business processes, or project management — Required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) — Required.
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines concurrently.
• Skill in identifying and resolving exceptions and interpreting data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in using office technology, including multi-line telephone systems, computers, copiers, and fax machines.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without needing employer sponsorship to begin employment.
• Regular minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking; occasional moving and lifting of light equipment and/or furniture may be necessary depending on the location.
