Senior Claims Representative – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of claims to assess compensability and liability.

• Organize and execute claim investigations to verify coverage and assess liability, compensability, and damages.

• Identify and negotiate suitable claim settlements/reserves within designated authority limits.

• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required.

• Communicate moderately complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insured parties, claimants, and external stakeholders.

• Approve payments in line with assigned authority thresholds, ensuring prompt disbursement.

• Keep precise and comprehensive claim records, including correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in handling property and casualty claims.

• Completion of or ongoing progress towards a professional designation is preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling protocols.

• Understanding of industry laws and regulations.

• Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads to ensure timely claim resolutions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capacity to cultivate relationships and lead negotiations.

• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with confidentiality.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
