This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather and assess claim data to determine life and disability benefits in compliance with policy guidelines and relevant state and federal regulations.
• Calculate benefit disbursements and convey claim outcomes for both new and ongoing claims.
• Deliver prompt and compassionate customer service.
• Provide guidance to team members on claims processing protocols.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical claim processing.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused, and productivity-oriented environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in collaborating with employees/members, providers, clients, and various levels of colleagues.
• Proven critical thinking skills.
• Adaptable and open to ongoing process enhancements.
• Self-motivated individual who operates well with minimal oversight.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in managing complex situations and achieving resolutions.
• Competent in analyzing and interpreting documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
• Ability to adjust to various system platforms and effectively utilize MS Excel/Word.
