
Senior Casualty Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage a daily caseload of line-of-business claims.
• Assess coverage, liability, and damages to resolve claims on fair terms and at suitable values.
• Liaise with policyholders, experts, legal counsel, brokers, TPAs, and other stakeholders to evaluate exposure.
• Establish reserves within authority limits or suggest reserve adjustments to supervisors.
• Analyze claims and propose resolution plans and strategies to management.
• Negotiate settlements effectively.
• Retain, guide, and supervise litigation counsel.
• Engage in and occasionally lead audits of third-party administrator partners.
• Address internal and external information requests from management, underwriting, actuarial, and other business units.
• Deliver customer service while managing casualty and property loss adjustments.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports for management regarding significant claim developments.
• Oversee in-house casualty claims and manage third-party administrator claims.
• Conduct claims and coverage analysis, liability and damages assessment, reserve setting, reporting, reinsurance analysis, and travel.
• Assist functional departments including marketing, risk management, finance, and actuarial.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• 5–8 years of pertinent experience handling General Liability/Auto claims and Premises Liability claims.
• Degree of specialized and technical expertise in casualty claims management.
• Experience with Professional Lines claims is advantageous.
• Proficient in interpreting and analyzing general liability policies, contracts, lease agreements, and risk transfer options.
• Capability to multitask various and significant matters.

• Experience in collaborating across different workgroups.
• Familiarity with industry best practices, procedures, and case law.

• Adjuster's License or willingness to obtain licensure within six months of employment.
