Senior Casualty Claim Representative – Specialty Human Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a substantial inventory of claims to assess compensability and liability.

• Organize and execute claim investigations to verify coverage and ascertain liability, compensability, and damages.

• Identify and negotiate suitable claim settlements and reserves within assigned authority limits.

• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.

• Communicate moderately complex coverage and settlement details to insureds, claimants, and external stakeholders.

• Approve payments within designated authority limits and ensure prompt disbursement.

• Maintain precise and comprehensive claim files, encompassing correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Political Science, Pre-law, Paralegal or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Typically, a minimum of 3-6 years of experience in handling property and casualty claims.

• Completion of or ongoing progress towards a professional designation is preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures.

• Understanding of industry laws and regulations.

• Capability to organize and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely claims resolution.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to cultivate relationships and lead negotiations.

• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
