This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Promote assigned products in accordance with corporate guidelines within a specific geographic territory and designated accounts.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, and staff from specialty distributors.
• Deliver product messaging and education regarding United Therapeutics products, such as Orenitram, Remodulin, and Tyvaso.
• Analyze sales data and create business plans aimed at boosting business and increasing sales in key accounts.
• Collaborate with field-based team members to enhance selling, education, and support initiatives.
• Leverage available resources to drive sales with key customers.
• Cultivate and sustain expert knowledge of the disease state, product offerings, and competitive market landscape.
• Utilize the sales force automation system for effective territory management and record-keeping.
• Fulfill administrative duties, including expense reporting and call documentation.
• Comply with corporate, external regulatory, and commercial compliance standards.
• Participate in local, regional, and national medical PAH symposia and conferences.
• Attend patient support group meetings and engage in directed sales and marketing project teams.
• Support the San Francisco and Northern California territory.
• Travel 80% of the time, including in-person customer visits, UT office visits, national events, and conferences.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or life science preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in selling pharmaceutical therapies or similar products to specialty physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals OR 6 years of healthcare/nursing experience with advanced lung disease.
• At least 2 years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech sales.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience selling within institutional or major teaching centers.
• Possession of a valid and in-state driver’s license in good standing.
• Reside within the supported territory.
• Capability to travel by motor vehicle and/or airplane.
• Expertise in the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary Disease.
• Strong leadership qualities, proven sales record, and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability along with effective planning and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of UT products and services.
