Senior CAD Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance intricate construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

• Convert survey information into precise, high-quality plans.

• Ensure that drawings align with client requirements and adhere to design coordinator guidelines.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers and designers.

• Assemble comprehensive drawing packages for client submissions.

• Verify that details conform to industry standards and client expectations.

• Contribute to creative problem-solving initiatives.

• Assist in delivering projects within the allocated timeframe and budget.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology, CAD Certification, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2–4 years of experience in the design and drafting sector.

• Familiarity with the utilities industry is preferred.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, including X-Refs and a solid understanding of coordinate systems.

• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, particularly with Gas Distribution Systems and/or Compressor Stations (preferred).

• Basic knowledge of advanced CAD software, including AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or Civil 3D; proficiency in Civil 3D is a significant advantage.

• Strong communication skills.

• Highly organized to remain focused and complete projects within budgetary constraints.

• Detail-oriented to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables.

• Self-driven and motivated.
