
Senior CAD Technician – ALTA Survey Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare ALTA/Boundary Surveys.
• Calculate legal descriptions for field staff.
• Familiarize yourself with title commitments and exception documents.
• Utilize survey instruments and equipment for various projects including topographic, ALTA, boundary, and construction surveys.
• Complete projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
• Lead and mentor the CAD technician team.
• Address client feedback and coordinate necessary revisions.
• Manage drawings across disciplines while identifying any conflicts.
• Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Expert knowledge of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and assessing easements.
• Advanced skills in CAD software.
• Strong grasp of surveying principles and legal descriptions.
• Capability to lead and mentor the CAD technician team.
• Ability to address client feedback and coordinate revisions effectively.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel with the capability to integrate it with AutoCAD and/or GIS as necessary.
• Strong understanding of coordinating drawings between various disciplines and identifying conflicts.
• Exceptional concentration and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate in diverse teams that include both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong planning, organization, preparation, and execution skills.
• Openness to new ideas, innovation, and adaptability to change.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capability to sit, type, operate office and/or field equipment, as well as communicate verbally.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, maintain balance, kneel, or crouch.
• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
