Senior C++ Developer - Hybrid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement innovative algorithms for the exploitation of remote sensor data.

• Enhance existing high-throughput algorithms related to image analysis, detection, and tracking.

• Exhibit advanced, idiomatic proficiency in C++ programming.

• Participate actively in software design and architectural decisions.

• Collaborate effectively as a member of an Agile team.

• Contribute to the development of shared tools and resources.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10+ years of hands-on professional software development experience with a focus on C++.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.

• Familiarity with the Versant Object Database (Versant DB) and MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL is a plus.

• Background knowledge or experience in Embedded Systems development.

• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and knowledgeable in multithreading/concurrency.

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.

• An additional year of education may be counted in lieu of professional experience.

• Minimum of five years of professional experience with fluency in C++.

• At least three years of experience working with Linux operating systems.

• Understanding of data structures.

• Skills in optimizing high-data-throughput processing.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
