This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Design, develop, validate, implement, and support intricate data solutions, reporting systems, applications, and automation processes.
• Function as a subject matter expert in business systems, claims data, audit sampling, databases, and reporting platforms.
• Convert business, audit, and regulatory needs into sustainable technical solutions.
• Create ad-hoc reports for data analysis and validation, encompassing source-data reconciliation, business rules, sampling logic, calculations, and automated outputs.
• Examine operational procedures and trends, identify issues, manage requests, validate modifications, and resolve complex challenges.
• Propose technical alternative solutions to management.
• Investigate and evaluate the financial and operational impact of data and process-related issues.
• Develop applications, APIs, and automation that integrate data and minimize manual efforts.
• Establish and maintain database and reporting solutions, including SQL queries, stored procedures, database architectures, ETL processes, data pipelines, data models, and both paginated and interactive reports.
• Oversee workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, service accounts, access, and security protocols.
• Conduct requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming, testing, validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Lead complex technical projects and manage priorities, milestones, risks, status updates, and implementation processes.
• Manage production support, including monitoring, triage, root cause analysis, defect resolution, change implementation, and documentation.
• Offer guidance and training to staff members.
• Execute additional duties as assigned and adhere to policies and standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship at any time.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in relevant programming languages such as SAS, SQL, VB.NET, or Oracle (or similar), with a preference for advanced SQL and relational database development.
• Experience in database design, stored procedures, query performance tuning, ETL/data pipeline development, data validation, and troubleshooting.
• More than 3 years of experience in related business analysis.
• Proven track record of translating requirements into technical designs and independently managing complex projects from concept through to production support.
• Preferred hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Report Builder, Power BI workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, service accounts, access/security administration, APIs, and .NET/C# application development.
• Preferred experience of 3+ years in healthcare claims, internal audit, payment integrity, regulatory reporting, or a similarly controlled data environment.
• Preferred certification in Microsoft Power BI or the Microsoft data platform, or an equivalent technical certification.
• A Master's degree in a relevant field may be considered as a substitute for some required experience, not exceeding 2 years.
