Senior Business Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, document, and carry out NetSuite development tasks within an agile team framework managed in Atlassian Jira.

• Produce SuiteScript code and designs in accordance with software development best practices, focusing on root-cause resolutions.

• Design and implement unit, integration, and regression test coverage for essential customizations and integrations.

• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic development tools for SuiteScript, integration, and testing development.

• Assist in establishing standards for deploying AI-assisted modifications and SOX/ITGC change-management documentation.

• Contribute to architecture decision records, coding standards, and integration documentation.

• Collaborate with the NetSuite Administrator to review and govern roles, permissions, workflows, and bundle utilization.

• Aid in the development, architecture, and support of scalable NetSuite integrations.

• Work with business users across Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience to convert requirements into durable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in NetSuite development and/or administration.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and task management systems.

• Practical experience with various NetSuite script types (User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet, etc.).

• Experience in writing automated tests in any programming language or framework.

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in routine development tasks.

• Knowledge of core business processes and best practices (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, etc.) along with basic accounting principles.

• Extensive integration experience (iPaaS, API, or direct point-to-point) with a strong grasp of system authentication methods.

• Comfortable working within NetSuite's configuration/admin layer (roles, permissions, saved searches).

• Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
