This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Manage a significant field sales organization while driving sustainable business growth throughout the region.
• Convert commercial strategies into effective regional plans that boost revenue growth, enhance customer relationships, and broaden market presence.
• Propel business development for self-manufactured materials in bioprocessing within a complex European matrix structure.
• Influence and guide teams and individuals outside of the formal reporting hierarchy.
• Support executives and senior directors in establishing organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior commercial leaders to synchronize regional efforts with wider business objectives.
• Address complex sales and operational challenges while optimizing team performance and resource allocation.
• Lead, motivate, and drive commercial success across various territories.
• Formulate and implement business strategies across multiple European markets.
• Work with country sales managers and cross-functional teams.
• Expand business by nurturing and developing relationships with customers and distributors.
• Ensure the attainment of sales, net contribution, working capital, annual sales, and gross margin targets.
• Generate sales forecasts, conduct trend analyses, and facilitate achievement.
• Formulate strategies and execute plans to enhance profitable sales.
• Enhance operational efficiency by maintaining discipline in DSO, finished-goods days, and outstanding balances.
• Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and business ethics within the team.
• Work with marketing to increase market awareness.
• Analyze market challenges and trends to provide strategic guidance.
• Increase sales pipeline transparency and accountability through effective forecast management and sales tools.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 10–12 years of sales experience in the Fine Chemical sector.
• At least 3–4 years of experience at a similar level within the same industry.
• Proven track record in developing and leading successful teams that consistently deliver results.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Ability to motivate and drive a sales team.
• Understanding of customer and market dynamics.
• Results-oriented mindset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the domestic Fine Chemical business and marketing dynamics.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficient in time management and prioritization.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Availability for office and travel/fieldwork approximately 60%–70% of the time.
• Primarily sedentary work involving extended periods of computer usage.
