Senior Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business challenges, decisions, and priorities.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business processes related to the data.

• Collect requirements for analytics, reporting, and data projects.

• Establish metrics, business rules, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Document requirements to enable technical teams to create effective solutions.

• Assist in prioritizing requirements based on business value, effort, and available data.

• Analyze customer, product, sales, inventory, and operational data.

• Identify trends, performance influencers, risks, and opportunities.

• Validate assumptions and explore the reasons for business performance.

• Transform findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

• Present analyses to assist stakeholders in decision-making and taking action.

• Ensure that analytical results are accurate and backed by data.

• Foster working relationships across Brand and Technology teams.

• Conduct workshops and working sessions to address problems and review findings.

• Challenge assumptions and facilitate a shared understanding among stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be based in the Philippines.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.

• Proven experience in analyzing data and presenting insights to business stakeholders.

• Experience in converting business inquiries into structured analyses and clear recommendations.

• Proficient in defining metrics, business rules, and data requirements.

• Familiarity with or strong knowledge of the apparel industry.

• Understanding of retail, digital, and wholesale channels.

• Experience in product management, merchandising, planning, inventory, e-commerce, or supply chain.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.

• Practical experience with PowerBI or a comparable BI tool.

• Experience with Snowflake or a similar data platform is advantageous.

• Exposure to advanced analytics or AI-driven data analytics is a plus.

• Confident in directly working with data to address business inquiries.

• Meticulous approach to calculations, definitions, and data quality.

• Ability to clarify broad or ambiguous issues and decompose complex questions into manageable analytical tasks.

• Capability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.

• Proficient in explaining findings simply without unnecessary technical jargon.

• Ability to listen to stakeholders and provide constructive challenges.

• Focused on delivering practical, actionable insights and achieving commercial, customer, and operational outcomes.

• Willingness to take ownership from the initial query to the final recommendation.

• Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client commitments.
